A week later our other dog broke out in hives and had to be rushed to the emergency room. They gave her shots and they slowly went away.

However, neither of my dogs (even my “chowhound”) is crazy about it. They eventually did eat it, but it took a lot of coaxing.

My Papillion was at the proper weight but still getting 1.5 cups of Flint River a day. We decided to switch foods and after much debate we chose Canidae.

Since purchasing my latest bag about three weeks ago she has been throwing up, having frequent burping which smells of vomit, having horribly smelly flatulence, and I had to clean my carpet from a poop accident two days ago. I sent an e-mail telling them that I would rather pay more for something than have it down-sized.

I get it via “subscribe and save” so I never run out, I save over the store price and it’s delivered right to my door. What could be easier” My 12 year old white German Shepard eats and digests this food wonderfully. Before changing to this food a few years ago, she had digestive problems often, even though she was fed a “so called good brand name food”. My younger sheltie has epilepsy. Gluten and corn are possible seizure triggers, so I feed both my shelties a wheat, corn, & gluten free diet. Product arrived exactly as described. I would purchase again from this company. I believe that dog food should be what your dog likes to start with. Next, I think that you should do research to make sure it is right for your pooch!

I still use kibble because it’s the fastest way to feed them a meal first thing in the morning before I let them out to go potty. So gross, but that’s why we covered our couches in blankets that were easily washed.

This just goes to show how much filler is in this food. I would never recommend this brand. During the time it took to slowly switch foods (14 days) my jacks had already gained weight and were looking much better. After 3 weeks we had to reduce their food because they were getting fat!

So far everyone is doing great, after the Canidae got out of their systems. I started feeding my dogs Canidae All Life Stages Dry Dog Food almost 5 years ago.

Through this surfing and sifting of information, what was good, explanation of terms, and eager for any information I could get and then pursue, I ended with Canidae All Life Stages Dry. There were others under consideration, but considering cost, balanced with good nutrition, supplements included in the food, and availability, I opted for Canidae. My Mom picked up this Newman’s food because it was available at the grocery store. They love the food, but what really surprises me is that his ears and skin have improved dramatically.

It’s unfortunate that Canidae didn’t announce that they were going to change the formula because it’s making a lot of dogs sick due to the sudden change in food. HANDHELD OCR SCANNER.
