Dog Beds - A Must Have For The Dog
In years, our dilemma was finding our 135 pound Newfoundland dog sleeping on our bed or couch every time we get back from a walk. To settle this issue, we bought him his own memory foam bed and now he sleeps there. Our dog’s bed works the same as the ones, we human beings use. Hence, your dog gets the same assistance of reinforcement that we also get in our beds especially if you have an old dog with joint problems. His bed is located at the end of our bed, where a fan is directly above him.And on more occasions than one, he has been seen laying belly up with his fur waving in the breeze, somewhere in dreamland chasing rabbits. He is one contented dog!
Our dog is getting older so we strive to maintain his physical fitness and happy disposition so he can be with us for a long time. BooBoo, as we amorously call him, is spoiled all the time but only up to the extent that is not damaging to his health. We limit his food intake and the treats we give him are healthy. He tends to engulf his food in a hurry, as most animals do. Few seconds after, his bowl is empty.
When he drinks his water, and he drinks a lot, he just hurriedly drink it as well. Research studies indicated that swallowing food in mouthfuls can cause many problems such as acid reflux, overeating tendencies, irregular eating, obstruction of the digestive tract, gagging, queasiness and other digestive problems. There was this container that we found for him. It controls the momentum of his eating and drinking. I think we should have one too for ourselves because we often like to speed up everything including our drinking and eating.
You probably haven’t recognized a Newfoundland, but its breed has very thick fur and discards greasy dander. These dogs exhibit a very strong propensity to rescue people from the icy waters of Newfoundland and their fur protects them from the freezing cold. However, in the climate we live in, it can be miserable for him in the summers.
A lot of hair falls out from his fur. His fur secretes a particular smell. He starts to smell awful during winter. During the frost season, his coat dries very slowly that is why we never bathe him. Therefore we had to use other methods of making and keeping him fresh. Indeed, we found it. We stumbled upon an incredible brush. It is an ionized brush that uses negative charges for cleaning, removing odors, and untangling fur. Water or any chemical is unnecessary. BooBoo now feels fresh and clean all the time, in summer and in winter. Everyone is happy.
